SEO abbreviated as Search Engine Optimization, is one of the basic requirements for any Website to perform well in terms of the traffic that is generated from Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, so on.

First of all, let us know what makes a website perfectly optimized for search engines. In order to achieve this we have to emphasize more on the following points while designing a website, they are,

* Titles
* Descriptions
* Keywords
* URL’s
* Site maps

Titles includes the main subject of the website or any specific page of the website that we are concentrating on. It should be specific and independent for every page, we should make sure that the titles are not repeated in the whole website i.e, same title should not be used for more than a single page.

Description includes a basic summary of the page that we are working on, it follows the same set of rules that are required for the usage of titles.

Keywords, the most important factor of optimization. Here for every page we create we have to concentrate on certain keywords with which the whole page can be generated or a basic idea of the page can be attained.

URL’s are the links that is pointing to every other page on a website from its home page, only thing here is the links should be user-friendly such that the links should convey the information of the page (subject of the page). Nothing more is required on this part.

Last but not the least, site maps are a virtual representation of a website which are both user friendly and reduces the search time by a great extent (can be experienced for a huge site).

In the future posts, I will explain about these aspects in detail with suitable examples. For any help please comment.

FarmVille Vs Twitter

According to a recent report, the FarmVille game developed by Zynga Games which is very popular among the social networking area is generating more traffic to the 2nd most viewed website(Facebook) on the planet than its next competitor(Twitter) in the social networking field.

That may sound weird we have to agree that point because almost all of the active Facebook users have their own farm in Farm Ville. So considering the approximate 350 Million users on Facebook it should make an lasting impact on the web considering its growing interest among the internet users. On the other hand the 3rd best social networking site on the charts (Twitter) is expected to have approximately 15 to 20 Million users on its database though it is much low compared to Facebook, it also lacks many features that its competitor has, this is due to Twitter’s limitations of just being followed or following others, though its good for instant updates about one’s status , it basically doesn’t account for any social networking features.

Also, many interested users on FarmVille consider buying the cash for many in-game advantages, this increases the total revenue from the users of FarmVille alone when compared to the all Twitter earnings combined. Finally, if there is any kind of competition between FarmVille and Twitter then there is no question of latter leading the way as the former can win the show without any extra efforts.
